ਰਾਗੁ ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕੀ
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਛੁ ਜਾਨੈ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਕਾਹੋ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਜਲੁ ਜਲ ਮਹਿ ਪੈਸਿ ਨ ਨਿਕਸੈ ਤਿਉ ਢੁਰਿ ਮਿਿਲਓ ਜੁਲਾਹੋ ॥1॥ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਗਾ ਮੈ ਤਉ ਮਤਿ ਕਾ ਭੋਰਾ ॥ ਜਉ ਤਨੁ ਕਾਸੀ ਤਜਹਿ ਕਬੀਰਾ ਰਮਈਐ ਕਹਾ ਨਿਹੋਰਾ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਲੋਈ ਭਰਮਿ ਨ ਭੂਲਹੁ ਕੋਈ ॥ ਕਿਆ ਕਾਸੀ ਕਿਆ ਊਖਰੁ ਮਗਹਰੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਜਉ ਹੋਈ ॥2॥3॥

ਰਾਗੁ ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕੀ

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਮੁੜ) ਵੱਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤਿਵੇਂ (ਕਬੀਰ) ਜੁਲਾਹ (ਭੀ) ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ-ਮਿੱਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।1। ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! (ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ) ਮੈਂ ਮੱਤ ਦਾ ਕਮਲਾ ਹੀ ਸਹੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਏ ਮੂਰਖ ਆਖਣ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮਗਹਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ) । (ਪਰ,) ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ) ਸਰੀਰ ਛੱਡੇਂ (ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ) ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਹ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਇਗਾ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਉਂਞ ਹੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਰਨ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਲਾਭ? ।1।ਰਹਾਉ। (ਪਰ) ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ—ਹੇ ਲੋਕੋ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਪੈ ਜਾਏ (ਕਿ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮਗਹਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ), ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਕੀਹ ਤੇ ਕਲਰਾਠਾ ਮਗਹਰ ਕੀਹ (ਦੋਹੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ) ।2।3। --- ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ :—ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਵਸੀਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਤੀਰਥ-ਯਾਤ਼੍ਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।3।

English Translation :

RAAG DHANAASAREE, THE WORD OF DEVOTEE KABEER JEE:
ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

That humble being, who knows even a little about loving devotional worship — what surprises are there for him? Like water, dripping into water, which cannot be separated out again, so is the weaver Kabeer, with softened heart, merged into the Lord. || 1 || O people of the Lord, I am just a simple-minded fool. If Kabeer were to leave his body at Benares, and so liberate himself, what obligation would he have to the Lord? || 1 || Pause || Says Kabeer, listen, O people — do not be deluded by doubt. What is the difference between Benares and the barren land of Maghar, if the Lord is within one’s heart? || 2 || 3 ||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇ । ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।1। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰੋ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖੋ । ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੋਲ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ) ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ । (ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰੋ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹੋ), ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।2। ਹੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ (ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ)! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਹੈ ।3। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ । ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—) ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਿਲਾ । ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।4।1।7।
English Translation :

JAITSREE, FOURTH MEHL, SECOND HOUSE:
ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Remember in meditation the Lord, Har, Har, the unfathomable, infinite Lord. Remembering Him in meditation, pains are dispelled. O Lord, Har, Har, lead me to meet the True Guru; meeting the Guru, I am at peace. || 1 || Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, O my friend. Cherish the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in your heart. Read the Ambrosial Words of the Lord, Har, Har; meeting with the Guru, the Lord is revealed. || 2 || The Lord, the Slayer of demons, is my breath of life. His Ambrosial Amrit is so sweet to my mind and body. O Lord, Har, Har, have mercy upon me, and lead me to meet the Guru, the immaculate Primal Being. || 3 || The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is forever the Giver of peace. My mind is imbued with the Lord’s Love. O Lord Har, Har, lead me to meet the Guru, the Greatest Being; through the Name of Guru Nanak, I have found peace.||4||1||7||

ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਟਿਿਕਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ਉਹ ਜਮ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ‘ਕਲਿ’ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਉਹ ਜੰਮ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿਮ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਗਤ, ਭਾਵ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਜੀਵ ਜਮਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਧਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ; ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰੀਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਜਮ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਜਮ ਦਾ ਦੁਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਂਹਦਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿੰਨ੍ਾਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਮ ਭੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।1। ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੁਉਮੈ ਰੋਗ-ਰੂਪ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ; ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਿਲਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਉਮੈ-ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿਜ ਸੁਭਇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।2। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ-ਦਾ-ਸਹਾਰਾ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇੜੇ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ-ਦੈਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ, ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਹੁਉਮੈ ਰੂਪ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਾਰਾ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਹੈ। ਐਸਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਿਲਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਿਖਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।7।
English Translation :

SHALOK, THIRD MEHL:

In the Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Messenger of Death is the enemy of life, but he acts according to the Lord’s Command. Those who are protected by the Guru are saved, while the self-willed manmukhs receive their punishment. The world is in bondage, under the control of the Messenger of Death; no one can hold him back. So serve the One who created Death; become Gurmukh, and no pain will touch you. O Nanak, Death serves the Gurmukhs; the True Lord abides in their minds. || 1 || THIRD MEHL: This body is filled with disease; without the Word of the Shabad, the painful disease of egotism does not depart. Meeting the True Guru, one becomes immaculately pure, and the Lord’s Name comes to dwell within the mind. O Nanak, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Peace-Giving Lord, one’s pains are automatically forgotten. || 2 || PAUREE: I am forever a sacrifice to the Guru, who has taught me about God, the Life of the World. I am every bit a sacrifice to the Guru, who has spoken the Name of the Lord. I am a sacrifice to the Guru, who has totally cured me of the fatal disease of egotism. Glorious and great are the virtues of the Guru, who has eradicated evil, and instructed me in virtue. The True Guru meets with those upon whose foreheads such blessed destiny is recorded. || 7 ||

ਟੋਡੀ ਮਹਲਾ 5 ॥

ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ (ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਕੋ਼੍ਰੜਾਂ (ਪੁੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਅਟੱਲ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਹੱਲਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਾਮ ਕੋ਼੍ਰਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ (ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ) ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ) ਅਡੋਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ (ਦੀ ਚੱਕੀ) ਵਿਚ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀਸੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ।1। ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! (ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ) ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ (ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ (ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ) ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਰਤਨ (ਵਰਗਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ (ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ) ਲੁਟਾ ਕੇ (ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।2।8।27।
English Translation :

TODEE, FIFTH MEHL:

O mother, the Guru’s feet are so sweet. By great good fortune, the Transcendent Lord has blessed me with them. Millions of rewards come from the Blessed Vision of the Guru’s Darshan. || Pause || Singing the Glorious Praises of the imperishable, indestructible Lord, sexual desire, anger and stubborn pride vanish. Those who are imbued with the Love of the True Lord become permanent and eternal; birth and death do not grind them down any more. || 1 || Without the Lord’s meditation, all joys and pleasures are totally false and worthless; by the Kind Mercy of the Saints, I know this. Servant Nanak has found the jewel of the Naam; without the Naam, all must depart, cheated and plundered. || 2 || 8 || 27 ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।1। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।1।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਂਞ ਤਾਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਤਰਲੇ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਗੁੜਾ ਰੰਗ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ।2। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਜੇਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੇ ਸੌ ਵਾਰੀ ਭੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਕਰੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਦਾ।3। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ- ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।4।2।6।
English Translation :

SOOHEE, 4th GURU :

Showering His Mercy, the Lord imbues the mind with His Love. The Gurmukh merges in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. || 1 || Imbued with the Lord’s Love, the mortal enjoys the pleasure of His Love. He remains always blissful, day and night, and he merges into the Shabad, the Word of the Perfect Guru. || 1 || Pause || Everyone longs for the Lord’s Love; the Gurmukh is imbued with the deep red color of His Love. || 2 || The foolish, self-willed manmukh is left pale and uncolored. Even if he wishes it a hundred times, he does not obtain the Lord’s Love. || 3 || But if the Lord blesses him with His Glance of Grace, then he meets the True Guru. Nanak is absorbed into the subtle essence of the Lord’s Love. || 4 || 2 || 6 ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਪੰਜੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ- ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਾਈਆਂ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਹਜ ਕੋਈ ਕੁਹਜ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਭਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।1। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ- ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਗਦ-ਗਦ ਹੋ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਇਸ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।2।1।20।
English Translation :

TODEE, 5th GURU, 5th HOUSE, DU-PADAS:
ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Such is the blessing my God has bestowed upon me. He has totally banished the five evils and the illness of egotism from my body. || Pause || Breaking my bonds, and releasing me from vice and corruption, He has enshrined the Word of the Guru’s Shabad within my heart. The Lord has not considered my beauty or ugliness; instead, He has held me with love. I am drenched with His Love. || 1 || I behold my Beloved, now that the curtain has been torn away. My mind is happy, pleased and satisfied. My house is His; He is my God. Nanak is obedient to His Lord and Master. || 2 || 1 || 20 ||

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ-ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵ੍ਡ-ਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਵਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।1।ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ।1।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨੰੰੂ ਭੋਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਸ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਂਇਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।2। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਤੇਰੀ ਕਦਰ-ਕੀਮਤ ਦੱਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ। ਤੇਰਾ ਵਡੱਪਣ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।3। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੁੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਅਕਲ ਦੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾਂ ਹਾਂ।4।13।63।
English Translation :

SORAT’H, FIFTH MEHL:

Remembering, remembering God in meditation, bliss ensues, and one is rid of all suffering and pain. Singing the Glorious Praises of God, and meditating on Him, all my affairs are brought into harmony. || 1 || Your Name is the Life of the world. The Perfect Guru has taught me, that by meditating, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean. || Pause || You are Your own advisor; You hear everything, God, and You do everything. You Yourself are the Giver, and You Yourself are the Enjoyer. What can this poor creature do? || 2 || Which of Your Glorious Virtues should I describe and speak of? Your value cannot be described. I live by beholding, beholding You, O God. Your glorious greatness is wonderful and amazing! || 3 || Granting His Grace, God my Lord and Master Himself saved my honor, and my intellect has been made perfect. Forever and ever, Nanak is a sacrifice, longing for the dust of the feet of the Saints. || 4 || 13 || 63 ||

(ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ) ਭੁੱਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਫਿਰ, ਇਹ) ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰ) ਫਸਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।1।ਰਹਾਉ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ, ਵਿਿਸ਼ਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਭੁਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ) ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ (ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦਾ, ਜੰਗਲ ਭਾਲਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੌੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।1। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਰਤਨ (ਵਰਗਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਭੁੱਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ । ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗਵਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।2।1।

My mind is deluded, entangled in Maya. Whatever I do, while engaged in greed, only serves to bind me down. || 1 || Pause || I have no understanding at all; I am engrossed in the pleasures of corruption, and I have forgotten the Praises of the Lord. The Lord and Master is with me, but I do not know Him. Instead, I run into the forest, looking for Him. || 1 || The Jewel of the Lord is deep within my heart, but I do not have any knowledge of Him. O servant Nanak, without vibrating, meditating on the Lord God, human life is uselessly wasted and lost. || 2 || 1 ||

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਚਾਰੇ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ) ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਉਤਭੁਜ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਨੌ) ਖੰਡ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਭਵਨ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸੱਤਿਆ-ਰੂਪ) ਧਾਗਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ (ਬੇਅੰਤ ਜੀਵ ਰੂਪ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮਣਕੇ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ (ਧਾਗੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਧਾਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਫੜ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ । ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਧਾਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ (ਜਗਤ) ਢਹਿ ਕੇ ਢੇਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ।1।ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ) ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ । ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ । ਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ (ਸਿੱਖ ਦੇ) ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਚੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਜ਼ਕ ਅਪੜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਰਿਜ਼ਕ ਅਪੜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ) ਖੇਡ ਖਿਡਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।2। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਵਿਤ਼੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਵਿਤ਼੍ਰ ਸੋਭਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਪਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉਹ ਅਦ਼੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ । ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।3। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਇਕ) ਬੇਅੰਤ ਡੂੰਘਾ (ਸਮੁੰਦਰ) ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੋਗ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਇਸਤ਼੍ਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਲੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ । ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।4।2।
English Translation :

SORAT’H, FOURTH MEHL:

He Himself is born of the egg, from the womb, from sweat and from the earth; He Himself is the continents and all the worlds. He Himself is the thread, and He Himself is the many beads; through His Almighty Power, He has strung the worlds. He holds the thread, and when He withdraws the thread, the beads scatter into heaps. || 1 || O my mind, there is no other than the Lord for me. The treasure of the Beloved Naam is within the True Guru; in His Mercy, he pours the Ambrosial Nectar into my mouth. || Pause || The Beloved Himself is in all the oceans and lands; whatever God does, comes to pass. The Beloved brings nourishment to all; there is no other than Him. The Beloved Himself plays, and whatever He Himself does, comes to pass. || 2 || The Beloved Himself, all by Himself, is immaculate and pure; He Himself is immaculate and pure. The Beloved Himself determines the value of all; whatever He does comes to pass. The Beloved Himself is unseen — He cannot be seen; He Himself causes us to see. || 3 || The Beloved Himself is deep and profound and unfathomable; there is no other as great as He. The Beloved Himself enjoys every heart; He is contained within every woman and man. O Nanak, the Beloved is pervading everywhere, but He is hidden; through the Guru, He is revealed. || 4 || 2 ||

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਦੀ ਖਿੱਚ ਵਿਚ ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਭੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਛਲ-ਰੂਪ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਖਹਿੜਾ ਛੱਡਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਭਾਲਦਿਆਂ ਭਾਲਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ-ਰੂਪ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣਨ ਦਾ ਅਵਸਰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।1। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਗਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਖਾਵੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਂਈ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਚੱਕਰ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣ ਸਕਾਂ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਜੀਉ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।2।ਪਉੜੀ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਟੁੱਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਕੁੱਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਣ, ਨਾਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਹੋਵੇ, ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਕਿਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਆਦਰ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਾ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ)। ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਿਤਰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਵੇ, ਨਾਹ ਧਨ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਨਾਹ ਰੂਪ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਕ ਸੈਣ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਜੇਹਾ ਨਿਥਾਵਾਂ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਭਿੱਜਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਮਝੋ। ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।7।
English Translation :

SHALOK:

One who loves the Lord’s lotus feet searches for Him in the ten directions. He renounces the deceptive illusion of Maya, and joins the blissful form of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. || 1 || The Lord is in my mind, and with my mouth I chant His Name; I seek Him in all the lands of the world. O Nanak, all ostentatious displays are false; hearing the Praises of the True Lord, I live. || 2 || PAUREE: He dwells in a broken-down shack, in tattered clothes, with no social status, no honor and no respect; he wanders in the wilderness, with no friend or lover, without wealth, beauty, relatives or relations. Even so, he is the king of the whole world, if his mind is imbued with the Lord’s Name. With the dust of his feet, men are redeemed, because God is very pleased with him. || 7 ||

May I know which font to install to view Punjab fonts of Hukamnama better.
I m not getting "tippi" of Punjabi, instead I m getting 'm" and getting "oora "instead of kana to "aeraa".in ur pasted Hukamnama, otherwise it is ok.

ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਵਿਤ਼੍ਰ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ (ਧਰਦੇ ਹਨ,) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ।1। ਇਕ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੇ ਖਸਮ ਸਾਂਈ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ....) । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ ।2। ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਉਹ ਹੱਥ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੈਰ ਪਵਿੱਤ਼੍ਰ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਅਜੇਹੇ) ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਉ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।14।
English Translation :

SHALOK:

With my tongue, I chant the Lord’s Name; with my ears, I listen to the Ambrosial Word of His Shabad. Nanak is forever a sacrifice to those who meditate on the Supreme Lord God. || 1 || All concerns are false, except those of the One Lord. O Nanak, blessed are those, who are in love with their True Lord. || 2 || PAUREE: I am forever a sacrifice to those who listen to the sermon of the Lord. Those who bow their heads before God are perfect and distinguished. Those hands, which write the Praises of the infinite Lord are beautiful. Those feet which walk on God’s Path are pure and holy. In the Society of the Saints, they are emancipated; all their sorrows depart. || 14 ||

ਸਲੋਕ ॥

ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਵਿਤ਼੍ਰ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ (ਧਰਦੇ ਹਨ,) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ।1। ਇਕ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੇ ਖਸਮ ਸਾਂਈ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ....) । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ ।2। ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਉਹ ਹੱਥ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੈਰ ਪਵਿੱਤ਼੍ਰ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਅਜੇਹੇ) ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਉ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।14।
English Translation :

SHALOK:

With my tongue, I chant the Lord’s Name; with my ears, I listen to the Ambrosial Word of His Shabad. Nanak is forever a sacrifice to those who meditate on the Supreme Lord God. || 1 || All concerns are false, except those of the One Lord. O Nanak, blessed are those, who are in love with their True Lord. || 2 || PAUREE: I am forever a sacrifice to those who listen to the sermon of the Lord. Those who bow their heads before God are perfect and distinguished. Those hands, which write the Praises of the infinite Lord are beautiful. Those feet which walk on God’s Path are pure and holy. In the Society of the Saints, they are emancipated; all their sorrows depart. || 14 ||

DAYV-GANDHAAREE, FIFTH MEHL:
O mind, meet with the Guru, and worship the Naam in adoration. You shall obtain peace, poise, bliss, joy and pleasure, and lay the foundation of eternal life. || 1 || Pause || Showing His Mercy, the Lord has made me His slave, and shattered the bonds of Maya. Through loving devotion, and singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, I have escaped the Path of Death. || 1 || When he became Merciful, the rust was removed, and I found the priceless treasure. O Nanak, I am a sacrifice, a hundred thousand times, to my unapproachable, unfathomable Lord and Master. || 2 || 13 ||

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ; ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖ । ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਇਹੀ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖ ।1। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸੁਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਬਹੁਤ ਆਦਰ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ।1।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਦੇਵਤੇ ਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ-ਮੁਨੀ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ । ਪੰਡਿਤ ਲੋਕ (ਵੇਦ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ਼੍ਰ ਆਦਿਕ) ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ੀ (ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਗੰ੍ਰਥ) ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਹਰਿ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਪਈ ।2। ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਕੁਝ ਕਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ, ਹਾਂ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝਾਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।3। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਭੈੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਭੈੜਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਏ, ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ।4। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ (ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ) ਹੈ । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਭਵਾਟਣੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੋਭ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਫੜ ਗਏ ।5। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਕਈ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਉਹ (ਸਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਭੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰ ਗਏ ।6। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਇਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਇਸ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਵਲੋਂ) ਟਪਲਾ ਲਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦੇ, ਉਹ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ।7। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪੰਜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਆਪਣੀ ਯੋਗ ਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ) । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।8।5।27।

English Translation :

AASAA, THIRD MEHL:
Listen, O mortal: enshrine His Name within your mind; He shall come to meet with you, O my Sibling of Destiny. Night and day, center your consciousness on true devotional worship of the True Lord. || 1 || Meditate on the One Naam, and you shall find peace, O my Siblings of Destiny. Eradicate egotism and duality, and your glory shall be glorious. || 1 || Pause || The angels, humans and silent sages long for this devotional worship, but without the True Guru, it cannot be attained. The Pandits, the religious scholars, and the astrologers read their books, but they do not understand. || 2 || He Himself keeps all in His Hand; nothing else can be said. Whatever He gives, is received. The Guru has imparted this understanding to me. || 3 || All beings and creatures are His; He belongs to all. So who can we call bad, since there is no other? || 4 || The Command of the One Lord is pervading throughout; duty to the One Lord is upon the heads of all. He Himself has led them astray, and placed greed and corruption within their hearts. || 5 || He has sanctified those few Gurmukhs who understand Him, and reflect upon Him. He grants devotional worship to them, and within them is the treasure. || 6 || The spiritual teachers know nothing but the Truth; they obtain true understanding. They are led astray by Him, but they do not go astray, because they know the True Lord. || 7 || Within the homes of their bodies, the five passions are pervading, but here, the five are well-behaved. ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈ ॥1॥ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਇਸੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਨੋ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਲੋਚਦੇ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਦੇ ਜੋਤਿਕੀ ਤਿਨ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥2॥ ਆਪੈ ਥੈ ਸਭੁ ਰਖਿਓਨੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਸੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥3॥ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤਿਸ ਦੇ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਸੋਈ ॥ ਮੰਦਾ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਜੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਈ ॥4॥ ਇਕੋ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਏਕਾ ਸਿਿਰ ਕਾਰਾ ॥ ਆਪਿ ਭਵਾਲੀ ਦਿਤੀਅਨੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਵਿਕਾਰਾ ॥5॥ ਇਕ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕੀਤਿਅਨੁ ਬੂਝਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥ ਭਗਤਿ ਭੀ ਓਨਾ ਨੋ ਬਖਸੀਅਨੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥6॥ ਗਿਆਨੀਆ ਨੋ ਸਭੁ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਓਇ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਕਿਸੈ ਦੇ ਨ ਭੁਲਨ੍ੀ ਸਚੁ ਜਾਣਨਿ ਸੋਈ ॥7॥ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਪੰਚ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਪੰਚੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਸਿ ਨ ਆਵਨ੍ੀ ਨਾਮਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥8॥5॥27॥

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ 3 ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ; ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖ । ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਇਹੀ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖ ।1। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸੁਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਬਹੁਤ ਆਦਰ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ।1।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਦੇਵਤੇ ਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ-ਮੁਨੀ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ । ਪੰਡਿਤ ਲੋਕ (ਵੇਦ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ਼੍ਰ ਆਦਿਕ) ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ੀ (ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਗੰ੍ਰਥ) ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਹਰਿ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਪਈ ।2। ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਕੁਝ ਕਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ, ਹਾਂ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝਾਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।3। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਸਮ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਭੈੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਭੈੜਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਏ, ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ।4। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ (ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ) ਹੈ । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਭਵਾਟਣੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੋਭ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਫੜ ਗਏ ।5। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਕਈ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਉਹ (ਸਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਭੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰ ਗਏ ।6। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਇਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਇਸ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਵਲੋਂ) ਟਪਲਾ ਲਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦੇ, ਉਹ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ।7। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪੰਜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਆਪਣੀ ਯੋਗ ਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ) । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।8।5।27।

English Translation :

AASAA, THIRD MEHL:
Listen, O mortal: enshrine His Name within your mind; He shall come to meet with you, O my Sibling of Destiny. Night and day, center your consciousness on true devotional worship of the True Lord. || 1 || Meditate on the One Naam, and you shall find peace, O my Siblings of Destiny. Eradicate egotism and duality, and your glory shall be glorious. || 1 || Pause || The angels, humans and silent sages long for this devotional worship, but without the True Guru, it cannot be attained. The Pandits, the religious scholars, and the astrologers read their books, but they do not understand. || 2 || He Himself keeps all in His Hand; nothing else can be said. Whatever He gives, is received. The Guru has imparted this understanding to me. || 3 || All beings and creatures are His; He belongs to all. So who can we call bad, since there is no other? || 4 || The Command of the One Lord is pervading throughout; duty to the One Lord is upon the heads of all. He Himself has led them astray, and placed greed and corruption within their hearts. || 5 || He has sanctified those few Gurmukhs who understand Him, and reflect upon Him. He grants devotional worship to them, and within them is the treasure. || 6 || The spiritual teachers know nothing but the Truth; they obtain true understanding. They are led astray by Him, but they do not go astray, because they know the True Lord. || 7 || Within the homes of their bodies, the five passions are pervading, but here, the five are well-behaved. O Nanak, without the True Guru, they are not overcome; through the Naam, the ego is conquered. || 8 || 5 || 27 ||
